The world of high-end condominiums has come a long way since the 1974 construction of the Mott-Smith Laniloa apartments in Honolulu, HI. Offering top-of-the-line amenities is a must, and when it came time to replace the top level of the podium parking/recreation deck, the Association of Apartment Owners did not hold back. That includes selecting premium products that will last the lifetime of the building.

The scope of the project included a swimming pool, spa, wading pool, tennis court, recreational pavilion, and landscaping. 50,000 square feet of Hydrotech® Monolithic Membrane 6125® was installed to keep the structure watertight, and from there, the amenity spaces would be able to come alive with hardscape and softscape elements.

Architectural Pavers and Wood Tile Pavers, on adjustable pedestals in an open joint configuration, completely transform the deck from its concrete predecessor. Each space seamlessly transitions, whether it is from paver to tennis court or wood tile to artificial turf. Residents now have a truly modern recreational and relaxing place to spend time.
