Inside Sales (Full Time)

The key focus of the Inside Sales Representative is to increase the level of our product and system sales. The ideal candidate will possess excellent phone selling skills, personal initiative and work well in a team selling environment. The compensation includes competitive salary plus commission based on individual performance. The position is located on our Chicago office and will include an initial training period where you will learn about the overall construction industry as well as commercial roofing and waterproofing. Your education will be through hands on training and working with your field sales team.

Primary Job Duties Include:

  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Work closely with architects, consultants and building owners to assess project opportunities and determine appropriate product offering
  • Develop sales opportunities in specified markets and work with field sales counterparts to manage and track projects.
  • Jointly accountable to exceed specific, quantifiable objectives related to sales from leads developed for the field.
     

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

  • Minimum of Associate’s Degree
  • 1-3+ years of B2B Inside Sales experience
  • Prior experience in the construction, building materials or roofing industries is not a requirement, past experience will be taken into consideration
  • Professional Aptitude with good problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Windows Applications (Microsoft, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM technology
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
  • Good follow up skills

Literature Fulfillment (Part Time)

American Hydrotech, Inc, is a leading manufacturer/marketer to the architectural community, headquartered in downtown Chicago. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player in our office in a part-time capacity (20 hours per week). Flexibility of schedule (M-F) can be a benefit to the right individual. For the right candidate, this is an entry level position that will provide plenty of challenge and responsibility.

Primary Job Duties Include:

  • Preparing Architectural Binders with corresponding literature
  • Sending weekly mailings
  • Pulling various literature and samples for representatives and architects, packaging, and entering into an online UPS shipping system
  • Printing numerous booklets and literature
  • Replenishing inventory of stock samples, including labeling
  • Assembling mock-ups of various products using provided components
  • Keep large supply of boxes for sending samples/literature stocked at all times
  • Assist with paver files, opening and closing paver orders
  • Coordinate larger requests for offsite tradeshows
  • Keep track of literature, and let Marketing Department know when to reorder brochures
  • Make monthly trips to offsite storage, and keep storage facility organized
  • General office support for various departments
     

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

  • Reliable and good attendance record
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills to include Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with UPS or shipping software beneficial but not required
  • Ability to interact with multiple departments and multi-task
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
  • College degree is not a requirement, past experience will be taken into consideration
     

Hourly pay range is $17.00 - $20.00 depending on experience.
