The Garden Roof® Lawn Assembly is considered a lightweight assembly, but with a slightly deeper soil depth, and is designed to support sod lawns as well as perennials.

Lawns have unique needs due to the foot traffic they experience. Designers have the ability to create large lawn areas on rooftops using a Garden Roof Lawn Assembly. Generally accessible by adjacent hardscape areas, such as a patio, design professionals now have the opportunity to create beautiful additional usable space on projects.

Geofoam Lightweight Fill

Atlas Geofoam is a lightweight expanded polystyrene (EPS) engineered fill that is typically used in Hydrotech’s Garden Roof applications to provide topography or to increase the depth of the assembly without adding significant weight.  When provided by Hydrotech as part of our full waterproofing or roofing warranties the removal/reinstallation of the product can be included in warranty coverage, check with Hydrotech for specifics.
